CODE OF HONOR
The nature of college education makes it more difficult for the instructor to monitor academic integrity. Dr. Furfero is counting on all students to comply with her "Code of Honor." |
- You may study with other students for the assignments and exams. In fact, Dr. Furfero encourages you to study in groups and discuss the issues. However, each student MUST submit his/her own work on individual assignments and exams. Individual assignments and exams MUST be written in each student's own words. If two or more students submit an identical assignment or exam answer, the grade will be divided by the number of "co-operating" students.
- At times, you might want to or you will be asked to research a particular topic, using the Web or a library. You may use appropriate published materials, as long as you give the author credit by citing the work using the format of any generally accepted style guide. If you copy someone else's work, and then submit it to me as your own, you are plagiarizing, and will receive a grade of F on the assignment.
- If you insist on copying from the work of others, make sure that they are smarter than you are!!!
